Description
Small black seeds of the plant called Hispanic Salvia. It grows naturally in America and there are records that it was an important food in the food of Aztecs and Mayas. They valued this seed for the energy provided by them, being an ancient Mayan word, the word "chia" means "strength".

How do you cook?
Chia seeds are very easy to add to the diet, they do not need to be ground, they can eat raw, adding to juices, soups, puddings and even on baked goods.
They can be added over the cereal or yogurt, in a salad or in preparations with rice, can be mixed with water and become gelatin. They are regularly well tolerated unless the person has problems with fiber consumption. The recommended daily dose is 20 grams, about 1 spoonful and a half times a day.
